Commercialization Manager – 3D Printing (Nano)
Bold ideas, global teamwork, and big impact—come build the future of digital dentistry with SprintRay.
Commercialization Manager – 3D Printing (Nano)
You are the single point of commercial accountability for the Nano Series. Everything the field needs to sell it starts with you.
Location: Los Angeles, CA (HQ) | Travel: approximately 30–40% | Reports to: VP, Product Commercialization
Compensation: $120,000–$140,000 base salary + annual bonus
Why This Role Exists
SprintRay’s Nano Series brings digital 3D printing to more dental practices through a solution designed around their needs. Success depends on explaining where Nano fits in our printing portfolio, which customers it serves best, and how its applications, workflow, and value differ from other options.
As Commercialization Manager – 3D Printing (Nano), you own commercial positioning and market readiness for Nano. Translate printer hardware, software, materials, and workflow capabilities into compelling messaging, practical demonstrations, and field-ready tools. Partner with Product Development, Sales, Regional Marketing, and Clinical Education to differentiate Nano from the Pro Series and competitors. The U.S. is your primary market, with global reach.
Your mission: make Nano’s place in SprintRay’s digital printing portfolio unmistakable and give every region a compelling, credible reason for customers to choose it.
The Role
You own Nano’s complete commercial toolkit: positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, clinical evidence summaries, launch playbooks, training, demo scripts, objection handling, pricing guidance, and FAQs. Regional teams execute campaigns and own pipeline; you equip them with clear, effective tools and improve them continuously based on field feedback.
Creative development is central. You partner directly with the Content Team to concept, script, and shape product demos, clinical workflow videos, case studies, KOL testimonials, launch films, and competitive comparisons. You drive the story and commercial substance; the Content Team handles production.
What You Own
Product Positioning & Messaging
Define how Nano is positioned for practices adopting in-office 3D printing for the first time and established digital practices adding printing capacity. Develop the value proposition, messaging hierarchy, clinical story, and competitive differentiation. Clarify Nano versus Pro Series by customer fit, supported applications, workflow, and value, without overstating capabilities.
Key output: a maintained positioning and messaging architecture used consistently by regional teams, sales representatives, and content creators.
Launch Playbooks & Market Readiness
Own launch plans for Nano releases, feature updates, and market entries. Build launch timelines, readiness checklists, sales tools, training, competitive cards, demos, FAQs, and pricing guidance. Clearly explain target customers, supported applications, materials, workflow requirements, and why a practice should select Nano rather than another SprintRay printer or competitor.
Key output: a complete, timely playbook that regional marketing leaders can execute independently.
Clinical Evidence & KOL Coordination
Partner with the VP and Clinical Team to identify evidence gaps affecting Nano adoption. Prioritize studies and demonstrations around intended applications, print quality, repeatability, workflow efficiency, and practice value. Coordinate with KOLs and clinical champions to bring credible findings into positioning and education; ensure materials, indications, and workflow claims are appropriately supported.
Key output: a quarterly commercial evidence roadmap linking studies, publications, and KOL engagement to the market arguments they support.
Sales Enablement & Competitive Intelligence
Create and maintain sell sheets, Nano-versus-Pro comparisons, application guides, ROI tools, battle cards, objection handlers, workflow demos, and distributor training. Monitor competitors’ pricing, products, claims, and channels. Help field teams address adoption cost, throughput, training, and selection between Nano and Pro Series.
Work with the Content Team to develop video-first enablement, including demonstrations, clinical walkthroughs, KOL interviews, and competitive content. Bring the creative concept, clinical substance, and commercial angle; review outputs and improve them using field feedback and usage data.
Key output: an actively used, video-rich sales enablement library that helps representatives communicate value and handle objections.
Product Manager Partnership
Serve as Nano’s Product Manager’s commercial counterpart: they own what gets built; you own how it gets sold. Bring customer insights, competitive intelligence, pricing feedback, and field needs into roadmap discussions. Stay aligned on printer hardware, software, compatible materials, supported applications, and workflow updates so commercial claims and launch materials are accurate.
Key output: a regular joint roadmap review and aligned product and commercialization priorities.
How This Role Connects
VP, Product Commercialization: your direct manager; sets global standards, reviews positioning, approves launch readiness, and resolves cross-line priorities.
Scanner Product Manager: your primary partner on roadmap, launch timing, product capabilities, and voice of the customer.
Regional Marketing VPs and Sales Leadership: your internal customers; use your playbooks and assets to execute in-market, and provide feedback on what works.
Content Team: your production partner for commercial videos, demonstrations, case studies, and training; you own the story and substance.
Clinical Team and KOLs: partners on evidence priorities, clinical validation, and credible product education.
How You’re Measured
Success is measured by the quality, readiness, adoption, and usefulness of what you deliver—not by direct ownership of regional pipeline or revenue.
Launch readiness: complete commercialization toolkits delivered on time for Nano launches, feature updates, and market entries.
Asset adoption: field use of sales and training materials, with improvements informed by feedback and adoption data.
Competitive response: updated positioning and field guidance following significant competitor moves; target within one week.
Evidence roadmap progress: closing priority clinical and commercial evidence gaps, with clear links to market needs.
Regional satisfaction and Nano effectiveness: feedback on toolkit quality and how well portfolio comparisons, demos, and training communicate Nano’s fit and value.
Who You Are
You have experience commercializing complex technical products, ideally 3D printing, additive manufacturing, dental or medical equipment, or integrated hardware/software workflows. You can turn sophisticated features into customer-centered positioning and practical sales tools.
Product-line experience: 3D printing, additive manufacturing, digital dentistry, medical equipment, or comparable hardware/software platforms is especially relevant. Dental experience is preferred, not required.
Commercialization execution: proven ability to build positioning, go-to-market plans, launch toolkits, demonstrations, sales training, and competitive enablement—not just strategy decks.
Technical storytelling: explain equipment, software, materials, applications, and end-to-end workflows clearly; distinguish entry-level and advanced portfolio offerings without oversimplifying or overstating.
Competitive and evidence-led thinking: track market moves, interpret clinical or technical studies, and turn defensible findings into persuasive messaging.
Cross-functional creativity: credible with Product and Engineering, collaborative with Sales and Clinical, and comfortable shaping video concepts and reviewing content with a production team.
What This Role Is—and Isn’t
This is a hands-on, product-line-focused individual contributor role. You do not need to be a dental industry veteran, filmmaker, or demand-generation specialist. You will not own regional campaigns, distributor relationships, or pipeline; you will build the tools that help regional teams succeed.
Why SprintRay
You will own commercialization for a strategically important scanner platform, build its playbooks rather than inherit them, and influence how scanning hardware and ScanOS are understood and adopted. You will have direct access to product, clinical, commercial, and creative partners and the opportunity to create materials used across markets.
