QC and Repair Technician (Admin) - Student Worker
Location: Weiterstadt, Germany
Compensation: €1,400 gross per month for 20 hours per week
About the Role
As a QC and Repair Technician (Admin) student worker, you will support our QC, repair, and maintenance operations while balancing your academic commitments. This role is designed for students pursuing degrees in electronics, mechanical, or biomedical engineering. This role involves working closely with both the quality control and repair teams to maintain product excellence and customer satisfaction. You'll gain practical experience in product assessment, minor repairs, and inventory management. The position offers flexible hours to accommodate your school schedule, making it ideal for students looking to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting.
Key Responsibilities
Identify issues in 3D printers and perform minor repairs, including disassembly for further repair or shipping.
Record product conditions and repair steps in quality management systems, documenting with photographs.
Maintain an organized workspace and manage inventory.
Inspect repair products to ensure they meet quality standards, verify repairs, and escalate complex issues as necessary.
Conduct detailed quality audits, perform root cause analysis, and document findings.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives like 6S to enhance processes.
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a degree program (associate or bachelor's) in electronics, mechanical, industrial, or biomedical engineering, with student status running through June 2025.
Basic proficiency in data entry software (e.g., Excel).
Ability to lift to 30 kg and stand for extended periods.
Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
High attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Understanding of basic mechanical and technical processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with 3D printers or electronic/mechanical components.
Familiarity with common and precision hand tools.
Previous experience in assembly work or basic repair tasks.
Practical coursework or projects related to your field of study.
