Production Supervisor
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Onsite)
Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000 + annual bonus
About the Role
SprintRay is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations across the production floor. This role serves as a critical link between planning and execution, ensuring production targets, material readiness, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
The Production Supervisor provides hands-on leadership to production technicians across multiple shifts, ensuring alignment, continuity, and performance across the full production schedule. This individual partners closely with Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering to maintain continuous production flow. As the first line of leadership, this role is responsible for safety, training, SOP adherence, and fostering a high-performance, accountable team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership & Execution
Lead and coordinate daily production operations across both day and evening shifts, ensuring consistency and continuity across shifts
Directly manage and develop a team of approximately 8–15 production technicians (may vary based on production needs)
Assign work orders, monitor throughput, and ensure adherence to production schedules
Verify and approve batch records for accuracy and GMP compliance
Ensure production lines are properly staged with materials, labels, and documentation
Maintain strict adherence to PPE, safety standards, and SOPs
Monitor equipment status, coordinate preventive maintenance, and communicate downtime impact
Train, mentor, and cross-train production technicians to build team capability and flexibility across shifts
Planning & Coordination
Partner with Production Planning, Procurement, and Logistics to align schedules with material availability and demand forecasts
Communicate production goals and resource needs to maintain schedule adherence across shifts
Monitor raw material usage, report shortages, and support timely replenishment
Track work-in-process (WIP) and finished goods output; update ERP and tracking systems as needed
Performance Tracking & Reporting
Maintain KPI trackers and dashboards (throughput, downtime, yield/scrap, schedule adherence)
Analyze daily and weekly production data and provide insights during production meetings
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve production capacity, staffing, and efficiency
Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement
Ensure production meets all quality, regulatory, and safety requirements
Partner with Quality and Engineering to address deviations and non-conformances
Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Promote and maintain 5S and Lean manufacturing practices
Lead by example in safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives
Team Collaboration & Communication
Serve as the primary communication link between technicians across both shifts, leadership, and cross-functional teams
Ensure clear and consistent communication between shifts through structured handoffs and reporting
Provide detailed shift handoff reports including production output, downtime, and quality issues
Participate in production meetings and share operational updates
Foster a collaborative, respectful, and accountable team environment across the full production team
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical device, aerospace, automotive, or similar)
Prior experience leading or supervising production teams in a manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of batch records, GMP, and quality control processes
Experience with production scheduling, resource coordination, or planning support
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., Odoo or similar)
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
Experience in regulated environments such as ISO 13485 / MDSAP
Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) concepts
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
Working Conditions
Full-time, onsite role based in Los Angeles (Resin Production facility)
Fast-paced manufacturing environment with moderate physical activity
Frequent collaboration with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering teams
May require flexibility across shifts and occasional weekend work to support production schedules
