Product Engineer - Software
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: $125,000 - $140,000
About the Role
The Product Engineer – Software is a hands-on builder who owns execution across SprintRay’s connected software ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of embedded systems, cloud infrastructure, AI-driven features, and APIs, with a strong emphasis on shipping reliable, real-world software that powers physical devices.
You’ll combine solid engineering fundamentals with strong product intuition—balancing speed and pragmatism while making thoughtful tradeoffs between technical constraints, customer experience, and long-term platform health. This is a highly collaborative role that works closely with firmware, hardware, manufacturing, and product teams to turn ideas into production-ready software.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being close to the product, isn’t afraid to get scrappy, and wants to see their work directly impact customers and devices in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Own execution for embedded and connected software across SprintRay’s hardware ecosystem, including printers, cure units, and wash systems.
Partner closely with firmware, hardware, software, design, QA, and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable, high-impact features.
Design and implement solutions that span device software, cloud services, and APIs.
Leverage telemetry and device data to identify failures, improve diagnostics, and increase uptime and reliability.
Translate customer issues, field data, and operational insights into clear, actionable software requirements.
Prototype, iterate, and ship AI-enabled and data-driven features that enhance the user experience.
Challenge legacy approaches thoughtfully and help push the platform toward a modern, scalable IoT architecture.
Contribute to technical decisions with a strong sense of product quality, usability, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
Education: Industrial Engineer, Systems Engineer or other relevant engineering fields
