Global Demand Planner
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90065
Compensation: $145,000 – $160,000 and annual bonus

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Global Demand Planning to own SprintRay’s global demand planning strategy, inventory investment, and end-to-end planning integration. This role is accountable for forecasting excellence, inventory optimization, and S&OP / IBP leadership while driving the adoption of AI-driven planning solutions, advanced analytics, and system automation to enable scalable, data-driven decision-making across the global supply chain.
This role partners closely with Executive Leadership, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Operations to translate business strategy into actionable, financially aligned demand and supply plans that support growth, service, margin, and working capital objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Demand Planning & Forecasting
Own and evolve SprintRay’s global demand planning strategy, including short-, mid-, and long-term forecasts by product, region, and channel.
Lead the development and continuous refinement of statistically driven and AI-enhanced forecasting models incorporating historical performance, seasonality, promotions, product lifecycle dynamics, installed base, and external market signals.
Establish forecasting governance, cadence, and accountability for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual demand reviews.
Monitor and continuously improve forecast accuracy, bias, and demand volatility; define and drive corrective actions to achieve enterprise KPIs.
Translate demand insights into executive-level narratives, highlighting risks, opportunities, trade-offs, and scenario-based outcomes.
Financial Ownership & Long-Range Planning
Own demand-related financial outcomes, including revenue attainment risk, inventory investment, working capital efficiency, and margin exposure.
Partner with Finance to align demand plans with revenue forecasts, budgets, annual operating plans, and 3–5 year long-range strategic plans.
Provide demand inputs to support capacity planning, capital investments, network strategy, and make/buy decisions.
Inventory Strategy & Global Supply Alignment
Define and own global inventory strategies that balance customer service, working capital efficiency, and risk mitigation across distribution centers and regions.
Partner with Supply Planning, Manufacturing, and Procurement to align capacity, production plans, and material availability with demand requirements.
Establish inventory segmentation strategies and target policies (safety stock, buffers, postponement).
Track and manage inventory KPIs including DOH, turns, service levels, excess & obsolescence; lead cross-functional action plans to close gaps.
S&OP / IBP Leadership & Executive Collaboration
Serve as the senior demand planning leader within SprintRay’s S&OP / IBP process, ensuring tight integration between demand, supply, financial, and strategic plans.
Own demand planning decision rights, escalation paths, and governance, including forecast overrides, assumptions, and scenario approvals.
Present consolidated demand and inventory recommendations to executive leadership, including constraints, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Drive S&OP maturity toward a predictive, scenario-based, and financially integrated planning model.
Product Lifecycle & Growth Enablement
Lead demand planning support for new product introductions, line extensions, regional launches, and product sunsets.
Develop launch forecasts, ramp curves, and multiple demand scenarios in partnership with Product Management and Marketing.
Ensure smooth transitions during product phase-ins and phase-outs with minimal service or inventory disruption.
AI-Driven Planning, Systems Integration & Automation
Champion the adoption of AI-driven forecasting, demand sensing, and advanced planning solutions to improve accuracy, responsiveness, and scalability.
Integrate internal and external demand signals including POS data, distributor data, customer usage, and market indicators.
Lead systems integration across forecasting tools, ERP, supply planning, and BI platforms to enable seamless end-to-end planning workflows.
Partner with IT and external vendors to define planning system roadmaps, data architecture, and automation opportunities.
Drive process standardization, automation, and self-service analytics to reduce manual effort and improve decision speed.
Ensure data integrity, master data governance, and system reliability across all planning platforms.
Reporting, Analytics & Organizational Leadership
Establish executive-ready dashboards providing clear visibility into demand, supply, inventory, and financial performance.
Leverage advanced analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across regions and product portfolios.
Define the operating model, standards, and capabilities required for a scalable global demand planning function.
Hire, mentor, and develop planning talent (direct and/or dotted-line); set expectations for analytical rigor, accountability, and business partnership.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning effectiveness, efficiency, and cross-functional alignment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
7–10+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, or advanced analytics with global scope.
Proven experience owning end-to-end demand planning, inventory strategy, and executive S&OP / IBP processes.
Strong expertise in forecasting methodologies, inventory optimization, and scenario planning.
Demonstrated experience implementing or leveraging AI-driven planning tools, demand sensing, or advanced analytics.
Deep experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and planning / BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
Exceptional analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into executive-level insights.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable influencing at the executive level.
Ability to lead through ambiguity, drive change, and operate effectively in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar certification.
Experience in medical devices, dental, hardware, or high-tech manufacturing.
Experience in high-mix / low-volume or configure-to-order supply chains.
Advanced SQL, data modeling, Python, or data engineering capabilities.
Experience leading planning system implementations or broader supply chain digital transformation initiatives.
