Senior Accountant
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 annually (Depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will partner closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. This position plays a critical role in supporting our high-growth, manufacturing-driven business and offers meaningful exposure to operations, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
Perform general ledger accounting, including fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, deferred revenue, and expense reporting.
Conduct balance sheet and income statement analysis; investigate and resolve variances.
Support cost accounting activities, including inventory accounting, reconciliations, and analysis (manufacturing environment).
Partner with business operations and cross-functional teams to strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.
Document, monitor, and improve internal controls; identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and automation.
Assist with external audits, due diligence, and compliance requests by preparing schedules and coordinating with auditors and external partners.
Ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
Mentor and review the work of junior accounting staff, providing guidance and feedback.
Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience (Big Four or national firm) strongly preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing or high-tech environment is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, lookups).
Experience with ERP or financial management systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Cost accounting, inventory control, and analysis experience is a plus.
CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving mindset.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
