Regional Sales Manager - Northeast U.S.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $115,000k – $135,000 + Competitive Variable
This role requires full coverage of the Northeast U.S. territory, which includes the following regions and states:
- Michigan Region: Michigan, Indiana
- Mid-Atlantic: DC, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia
- North New England: Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont
- NYC Region: Connecticut, New York
- PA/NJ: Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania
- Greater Chicago: Illinois, Wisconsin
- West PA/NY: New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania
About the Role
As our Regional Sales Manager, you will provide strategic direction and support for a team of Digital Sales Specialists, driving sales and profitability for all SprintRay products. But this isn't just any sales leadership role. We're looking for a dynamic and driven individual who can lead by example, providing support and guidance for your team through coaching and mentoring to positively influence their behavior and drive their success.
As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the assigned area funnel, with the ability to influence cross-regional/area programs and initiatives. You will have the freedom to innovate and implement new strategies to drive growth and profitability for the company, collaborating with other departments to ensure the success of each account.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving the regional sales and profitability goals within defined timeframes and parameters
- Directing the activities of the sales force in line with strategies and plans that are consistent within the organization's overall mission and in line with budgeted expectations
- Expected to prioritize/focus on top line sales, contribute to positive selling environments, communicate, and implement SprintRay overall philosophy and strategy, develop key opinion leaders, and facilitate competitive conversions
- Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
- Develop and maintain an effective organization through the recruiting, selection, training, compensation, coaching and motivation of personnel. Provide guidance and direction to field sales personnel to assist them in their personal and professional development
- Provide orientation and guidance to new field sales personnel to ensure consistency in presentation and sales ability through the assigned geography
- Identify and retain top talent to successfully grow sales team
- Develop annual sales goals with Head of Sales and weekly/monthly/annual projections for the designed geography
- Understand and support the company’s sales policies and procedures
- Prepare and analyze reports and submit in a timely manner
- Build strong relationships with KOLs, key strategic customers
- Continued support of daily co travels with DSS, and attend night/evening programs
- Ability to work with channel distribution partners and direct sales at same time
- Coordinate and implement effective regional strategy across all dental segments (DSO, Universities, Government, Labs, Private Practice accounts)
- Coordinate effective communications across all business sectors in company (Marketing, Finance, Operations, DSO, C Suite)
- Weekly travel to support DSS team in assigned area to coach, mentor, develop, and drive sales targets
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in sales/marketing (MBA Preferred)
- Prefer 2+ years in medical device/capital equipment, medical management
- 5+ years of experience exceeding sales quotas
- Prefer 2+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ Direct Reports
- Ability to coach and lead teams through change
- Relentless pursuit of sales and profitability results and execution
- 50% Travel required
- Attend National Trade Shows/Regional Meetings, Annual Meetings
- Strong negotiation skills
- Computer and organization skills are essential. Strong PowerPoint skills for consistent presentations
- Completion of formalized sales training courses preferred
- Experience with CRM, Sales Force
- Ability to think on the fly and make strategic educated decisions in a high performance culture
