Accounting Manager
Location: Onsite - Los Angeles, CA
Compensation: $125,000– $140,000 annually (depending on experience)
About the Role
SprintRay is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting operations and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards. Reporting to the Controller, this role manages the accounting team, leads the close and reporting process, and partners across the business to deliver accurate and timely insights that support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial consolidations, including intercompany eliminations.
- Manage the full revenue cycle—from recognition through billing and collections.
Own and optimize ERP/accounting system processes (NetSuite or similar). - Prepare financial statements, performance reports, and ad-hoc analysis for leadership.
- Partner with FP&A and operations to provide insights that drive business decisions.
- Coordinate tax activities with external consultants across domestic and international entities.
- Support annual audits and maintain compliance with US GAAP and other reporting requirements.
- Implement and improve accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures.
- Drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification preferred (required for certain responsibilities).
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including both public accounting (Big Four or mid-tier firm) and corporate/industry roles.
- Proven experience managing and developing accounting staff.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP; international accounting experience a plus.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with BI/reporting tools strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to work cross-functionally.
- Must be able to work on-site daily at our Los Angeles headquarters.
